On May 8, I was awarded the 2nd Place prize in the On-The-Spot Oil Painting Competition held in Irvine. It was a grueling, limited 2-hour time frame painting from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. I am glad I finished on time. There were so many good artists who painted so well.
I love oil painting landscapes. My studio is the outdoors and my model is nature.
After I graduated, I taught advertising design in Santo Tomas University of the Philippines. It is one of the oldest Catholic University in the world and has been visited by Popes many times. I was later hired by Warner Brothers to paint animations for movies. Today, I work in the newspaper industry as an advertising designer at the Press-Telegram. I have won several awards, prizes and other recognitions in the field of arts.
