Happy Birthday Helena!

Helena Antoinetta Bartels Vissia was born Dec. 27, 1907. She was born on a farm near a one intersection small town called Carmel, Iowa. She is the second child of eight. Only her youngest sister, 90, is still living and lives in Texas. Helena is the mother of three. Her husband George Vissia died in 2000. They had been married 67 years. Five years after her husband's death Helena moved into a retirement home in Artesia where she has been awarded a certificate for the oldest citizen in that city.
