In August 2010, six friends from the Southern California area went to Deadwood and Sturgis, South Dakota for the 2010 Motorcycle Rally. Pictured are Terry and Sally Newman of Lakewood, Susan and John Boogaard of Bellflower, not pictured is Fred and Tammy Kramer from Fallbrook. It was a trip we'll treasure for a lifetime!
We recently took a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands for our 30th wedding anniversary. We took many pictures with our Press-Telegram, but thought this one connected to Long Beach the best since the USS Missouri was stationed here for a period of time.

Bob and Linda Quarto, owners of Foggia Italian Market & Deli in Lakewood, took a much needed vacation this summer. We drove to Williams, AZ and then took the Grand Canyon Railway train to the south summit of the Grand Canyon. The trip back home to Lakewood went off the beaten path, via old historic Route 66, offering all the quaint and quirky sights that most people miss when hurrying home via the interstate highway. What a great trip!
