pn10-rproving1.jpgAs a retirement gift to ourselves, we traveled to Botswana in July 2010 on a trip of a lifetime! The game parks were spectacular, the four wheel driving was a challenge, and the solar heated hot water showers a welcome surprise.

The mini submarine in the background is the DeepSee three person sub that took all diving to over 1000 feet. Cocos Island is a Costa Rican marine protected area about 300 miles from the mainland and offers excellent diving.

pn10-rproving3.JPGUrsula and Hans Wanamaker from Lakewood met their daughter, Susan Causey, her husband Keith and son Matthew at their vacation home in White Fish, Montana. The Causeys flew in from Detroit for a short reunion.

pn10-rproving4.JPGFor my 45th birthday, I took a 30-day trip last summer to Great Britain and Ireland. I have been wanting to go to Great Britain and Ireland since I was 10 years old. After 5 years of saving, I was finally able to go. I picked this particular copy of the Press-Telegram because the headline said it all, "Challenge Is Met" Behind me is Loch Ness, near Inverness, Scotland. Nessie never appeared, but the lake was the deepest blue I had ever seen.
