On September 10, Ann and Jim Denison celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary aboard a small ship on a cruise on the scenic, historically and culturally important Columbia River Gorge, This photo shows them at the spectacular 620 foot Multanomah Falls which was one of the highlights of a trip that included a trip though three states;Oregon, Washington and Idaho, three rivers, the Columbia the Willamette, and the Snake Rivers and eight locks and dams, including the Bonneville Dam and power station with its interesting salmon ladders.Besides its natural beauty, this area offers a trip through time through their museums and other visits, from the prehistoric rock formations, the acquaintance of native American tribes whose ancestors still live there, the journey of Lewis and Clark, the historic fur-traders to modern agriculture, including vineyards and wineries as well as maritime activities.
An exciting trip by jet boat through Hell's Canyon on the Snake river included seeing wildlife as well as prehistoric petroglyphs on ancient basalt formations.
Long Beach
Last summer my family and I went to Bogota Colombia where we visited many beautiful places. The most important place, however, was "El Santuario Del Divino NiƱo" (The Sanctuary "Church" of The Divine Child, baby Jesus) The Divine Child granted my family a miracle and we went to thank him. Now we want to share this with the world! Pictured left to right are my husband Leo Sanchez, myself, Rosario Sanchez and my daughter Luz Lira.Long Beach
