pn06-rpbuffum.jpgLate afternoon April 1, 2011 a few retired Buffum Elementary School teachers gathered at the school for the solemn task of decommissioning the staff "Cowboy Bathroom." In 1990 the cowboy-theme staff restroom was established, complete with faux autographed pictures of cowboy stars, animal horns, western objects de' art, and a tee shirt from Bellflower Feed (the first unofficial sponsor of the, now defunct, Aerospace Technology Magnet). As the objects were removed and the bathroom returned to its pre-1990 status, one of the retirees was heard to say, "Now it is just a bathroom again, as Buffum School will soon be just a building."
Pictured are left to right: B. Neel, S. Lahr, N. Mauger, S. Buckley, R. Joplin, and N. Wahlstrom
