pn11-rproving1.jpgJason Kantor of Long Beach, traveled to Boston to celebrate the Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Championship and attend last Saturday's parade, which was attended by one million jubilant fans. Notice the small headline beneath the Press-Telegram header, "Boston Ends Its Stanley Cup Drought."

pn11-rproving2.jpgHenry and Jill Jeffries of San Pedro celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary by cruising through the Panama Canal. Here they are standing on the top deck of the Island Princess. The cruise was 15 days from Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles, and included stops at Aruba, Cartengena, Panama City, Puntartenas (Costa Rica), Acapulco, and Cabo.

pn11-rproving3.JPGFor thirty years, once or twice a year, the core of this group has been coming up to the Eastern Sierras to fish, hike and bike, sometimes inviting another friend or two to come along. Pictured here at Convict Lake, from left to right are: Fred Ananian, Tony Nocera, friend Chris Claflin holding the Press-Telegram, Fermin Guerrero and Johnny Majeski.

(A surprise thunderstorm didn't allow for the PT to be photographed). Amanda is employed by The Department of Homeland Security and Colin works on Capitol Hill as a marketing manager for a political technology company. A June 2012 wedding is planned in Long Beach.

pn01-rproving3.JPGKevin Dibb, in the blue shirt, in the town of Thuin, Belgium with host family members Camille and Robinson Rits. I lived there for a year as part of an exchange program called AFS, the American Field Service from 2008 to 2009. While there I lived with a Belgian host family, learned to speak French, and attended a Belgian high school. I returned to Long Beach to finish high school and graduated from Wilson High in 2010. This past year I did a gap year to Germany, before going off to college this coming fall. I'll be attending UCSB- Go Gauchos! While in Germany, I went to Belgium to visit my old host family there, and we took these photos. Here we are in front of "le Beffroi" or Bell tower, for which the town of Thuin is known.

pn01-rproving4.jpgBrian Ellis of Huntington Beach and Aunt Sue Stover of Lakewood visit the Kilauea Lighthouse on the island of Kaua'i in July. When it was built in 1913, it had the largest clamshell lens in existence and was used until the mid '70s. It is the northernmost point of the main Hawaiian Islands and also houses a wonderful National Wildlife Refuge.
