Our "furry therapist'' Moo Moo enjoys watching over her humans from the safety of her cat perch in our living room. The nightly ``Moo Moo Show'' involves chasing toys, invisible monsters, and defending our home from dogs that dare to walk by her window.
Most of the time this is the angelic face we see. She brings us hours of laughter, love and peace.

These are our "good dogs,'' Shera, 8 and Duncan, 13. Duncan's hearing isn't what it used to be, so in the morning Mom says ``Go get Duncan!'' and Shera runs to wake him up for her. Happy Birthday, Chang Gu! Thank you, Long Beach Animal Shelter. I was looking for a dog companion, but I wanted an older dog. I checked the shelter and there he was, waiting for me, a 6-year-old Shih Tzu. He was
perfect and has been in charge of my life for one year this June. I love you, Chang Gu.

Room 29 at Cubberley School in Long Beach proudly presents its pet rat, Lilly Jr. She's a good little rat.
Our cool pet was really cool ... her name was Gwen. She was an English bulldog and had been the life of our family. She passed away a few days ago but we are so very grateful for all that she gave to our family. She was named after Gwen Stefani ... named for her beauty! She was always so patient when we wanted to dress her up to play with her. Here she was as a fire dog for Halloween. She went trick-or-treating with us, dressed like this and never once complained. ... Well, maybe a funny look on her face ... but still a trouper.
She had three beautiful puppies. We got to experience all that is involved with having puppies and we learned so much about how to be responsible pet owners. She will be greatly missed, but we have more than enough great memories of her that will be with us forever.
