Lots of Great Movies Out, But You Can at Least Look at Some Fine Books

| | Comments (72) |

Three very nice, in very different ways, movie-related picture books have come my way this holiday season. They're great fun for film fans just to flip through, if that's all the time you've got to spare between checking out the many interesting movies they release this time of year.
Most straightforward of the bunch is Bond on Set: Filming Casino Royale. It's almost all full and two-page shots of action, equipment and the eye candy joys of Daniel Craig and the Bond girls from the film that's breathed new life into the creaky 007 franchise. Very little text, including four pages of terse interviews with Craig discussing certain shots. But it's a pleasing visual souvenir of one of 2006's most enjoyable movies.
Art book outfit Taschen's companion to Golden Globes favorite Babel is, fitting for such a globally conscious movie, much more ambitious. Famous photographers Mary Ellen Mark, Patrick Bard, Graciela Iturbide and Miguel Rio Branco accompanied the filmmakers to Morocco, Mexico and Tokyo locations, where they not only took the artiest production stills ever but also composed haunting impressions of the people and places that they saw. Much more commentary from director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and others than the Bond book - reproduced in multiple languages yet, again reflecting the movie's international flavor - but still primarily an absorbing, transporting ocular experience.
By far the most wordy of the three, The Winston Effect: The Art and History of Stan Winston Studio still offers a hell of a lot to see. Every production the special effects master has worked on - Aliens, The Terminator films and Jurassic Park are but a few - is lovingly chronicled with a wealth of drawings, behind-the-scenes shots and anecdotal reportage. This is a near perfect gift for every geek - be they sci fi fanboy or hardcore cineaste - in the known universe and beyond.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please log onto www.kllundypublishingllc.com and read this story concerning a injustice that happened to a family in the state of Georgia. I cried after reading this mans story!

The nation was introduced to the book titled, "A Million Little Pieces" written by James Frey. Later it was discovered that he lied about the ordeals surrounding his life's experiences.

Ladies and Gentlemen, have you ever gotten so immersed in a book that you literally could not put it down? Even as the clock hits midnight, you just had to keep reading because you had to find out what happened next?

K. L. Lundy Publishing LLC has unveiled for the American Public "the truth and nothing but the truth so help us God" in its newly released documentary titled, "Dirty Justice-Who Killed Mommy?" by Keith Lynch.

Summary:

The author invites you to experience the drama that has unfolded in his life as he receives his severing of dirty justice. Once you begin reading, you simply will not be able to put this book down. One cannot begin to imagine that what has happened to this family actually occurred in America. Mr. Lynch's testimony will compel you to look at your love ones and the judicial system in a new light. This family's tragedy will encourage you to cherish the time you have with your children and remind you of the commitments made to your relationships.

"Dirty Justice-Who Killed Mommy" is a true story that contains death, homosexuality, arson, kidnapping, illegal adoption, identity theft, police, and judicial corruption. Only God's divine intervention and the help of attorneys Rodney Williams and Brad Gardner's never-ending desire to find truth will expose the injustice that has contributed to this family's nightmare.
