French Film Festival Winner - You Can Still Catch It at 5:00

Here's the official announcement of the audience award-winner at this year's City of Lights, City of Angels French film festival:

AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD

Hollywood, California - April 22, 2007 - Claude Berri's "Hunting and Gathering," starring Audrey Tautou and Guillaume Canet, won the 2007 City of Lights, City of Angels (COL-COA) Audience Choice Award, it was announced early today by the festival producers, the Franco American Cultural Fund.
Running away from her upscale background, Camille (Audrey Tautou, The Da Vinci Code, Amélie) works as a cleaning lady at night. She befriends her rogue, aristocratic neighbor Philibert and his friend Franck (Guillaume Canet, Tell No One (COL-COA 2007), The Beach), a grumpy cook who takes care of his grandmother Paulette. The four become roommates and slowly learn to live together. This ode to friendship is adapted from Anna Gavalda's best-seller novel, Hunting and Gathering.
"This year's festival is the most successful in the history of COL-COA," stated festival director and programmer Francois Truffart. "Not only is the attendance the highest ever, it is a salute to the future of French cinema in America, but especially in the Los Angeles area," he added.
The film will be re-screened today at 5:00 PM at the Directors Guild of America Theatre, 7920 Sunset Boulevard. The afternoon program also includes A Short Afternoon, a compilation of all shorts shown individually earlier in the festival in two segment (1:30 PM and 4:30PM). Also programmed is a new film "Family Heroes," all free to the public.
