Speak or Sing Your Piece, I Don't Care. Just Don't Think It'll End Wars and Stuff

An indie movie titled "Sing Now or Forever Hold Your Peace" opened in L.A. today.
I haven't seen it. Don't intend to. I do know that it's about about a bunch of buddies who were in an a cappella singing group in college reuniting years later at a member's wedding.
Hence the substitution of "Sing" for "Speak" in the title, which plays on the standard "any objections?" line commonly asked at nuptials. Fair enough play on words, even if the moniker doesn't exactly, well, sing. But from what I've read about the movie, it doesn't make any kind of statement against President Bush's Iraq policy or anything like that - and I think the guys' main song is a Phil Collins number, not a Phil Ochs one.
So why is the last word in the title "Peace" instead of "Piece," the word in the ceremonial question (it's asking an objector to state his/her case or keep that particular piece of their mind to themselves for all eternity, although these days I'd think until after the divorce would be a sufficient enough time period).
If whoever named this movie has a justification for "Peace," I'd like to hear it. Otherwise, at least one semi-literate filmgoer will presume that, if they can't get the title right, how bad must the script be?

You have to be one of the largest idiots of all time. The phrase IS in fact "or forever hold your peace" (not PIECE) as in, if you don't speak up now, you must keep quiet your objections from here forward. Keep your peace. In addition, anyone who makes comments on a film without seeing it doesn't deserve to write them ANYWHERE.
