Eat, See a Movie, Help Darfur

Don't know how legitimate this is ("a self-styled US Priory of the Knights of Malta and OSMTH TEMPLAR Knights"?), and there's always something that feels a little strange to me about raising funds for starving refugees via dinner events.
But this seems to be for a good cause, so I'm posting the e-mail I received about it. Can't vouch for the quality of the film, either (never heard of it before this), but if you're interested, this should all be easy enough to check out at the websites listed below and through other online sources.

Century City, CA, May 16, 2007 - The Ummba Grill , will host "Operation
Dinner Party" on Tuesday May 22nd, 2007, to raise money for Knightsbridge
International's Darfur Refugee Relief Project. The Los Angeles-based
OneDollar4Darfur campaign and the Century City News are hosting a dinner
and screening of Academy Award nominated director Adrian Belic's Beyond
the Call, a documentary film about Knightsbridge International and their brave
humanitarian work. The event will start at 7:00pm at the Ummba Grill located
at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd. #200a, Century City, CA 90067, at the Century
City mall next to the food court & AMC. Tickets available at the door ($30)

"Operation Dinner Party" is the template of truly a grassroots campaign in
which anyone can participate, by hosting a dinner party and screening of
Belic's film to generate awareness about Darfur and Knightsbridge
International and to inspire your guests to donate money for the project. The
film and information about Darfur is available to whomever wants to host
an "Operation Dinner Party."

With this event, OneDollar4Darfur co-founders Hillarie Waadt and Mariana
Ferarro hope to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in the Sudan and
create a grassroots movement to help save the people of Darfur. "People
think that it takes a huge machinery and so much money to help," she
says. "But each one of us can make a difference. Everybody deserves the
basic necessities of food and shelter."

For Waadt and her OneDollar4Darfur partner Mariana Ferraro Knightsbridge
was the ideal organization to support. Ferraro explains, "I've seen a lot of
waste and bureaucracy in other humanitarian organizations. But with
Knightsbridge you know the food and medical supplies are going directly to
the people who need it most, because the members of Knightsbridge deliver it
themselves – without regard to race, religion or politics."
