Wanda Does Hilton

The lesson in applied civics that we're all grateful to Paris Hilton for providing touched even the most singularly focused of human beings this weekend: actors with movie to promote.
So, when some fool asked Wanda Sykes what she thought of the whole jurisdictional hubbub during a press conference for the upcoming religious farce "Evan Almighty," she literally had an existential revelation before our eyes.
With, of course, jokes.
"Oh, I stay up. I lose sleep over Paris," the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "New Adventures of Old Christine" guest star said. "I'm like, is she in jail today or is she at home? Oh, what's going on wit Paris?
"It's just so ridiculous how famous she is for absolutely nothing. I mean, she is such a non-celebrity, and yet people are camped out in front of her house and going to see if she's in jail or not.
"She's rich, and she's screwin' up just being rich," Sykes marveled. "That's pretty sad, when you f--- up rich. You've got to be the biggest idiot in the world if you just can't sit your ass down somewhere and be rich. If I was a Hilton, I would've been premature. I would've shot out of the womb early, as soon as I found out. 'Wait a minute? I'm rich? Let me get my life started!'"
