There's a Lars von Treer comedy involved; if that sounds like fun to you, you'll probably dig the rest of this fest.
Here's the official announcement:

2nd ANNUAL DANISH FILM FEST: LA CELEBRATES 100 YEARS OF DANISH CINEMA OCTOBER 4 – 11

“The Passion of Joan of Arc” to open Festival

Film EXPO to Highlight Danish Post Production Capabilities

The Danish Film Fest: LA returns to Los Angeles October 4-11 to celebrate the richness of the Danish storytelling tradition, as well as expose the culture’s unique Nordic lifestyle to an international audience, it was announced by Festival Founders and filmmakers Lene Pels Jørgensen and Christian Ditlev Bruun.

Presented by the Scandinavian American Arts Foundation in collaboration with the Royal Danish Embassy, Washington and the Danish Trade Commission, Los Angeles, this year’s event will commemorate 100 years of Danish cinema and culture, while fostering relationships between Danish and US businesses. His Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Denmark will serve as the Official Patron of the festival.

The festival will open on Thursday, October 4th with a screening of Carl Theodor Dreyer’s 1928 “La Passion de Jeanne d’Arc” accompanied by a new score and followed by a Gala Reception. The evening is co-presented with the American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theater.

In conjunction with the Danish Film Fest: LA, a Danish Film EXPO on Post Production, co-presented by The Danish Trade Commission, Oresund Film Commission and The National Film School of Denmark will showcase the high quality and competitiveness of Danish industry, and technological advancement as well as a platform for product placement showcasing Danish products to the US film, TV and commercial companies

The program will offer audiences the chance to view award winning and classic Danish films from the last century including “Hunger”, “The Art of Crying” and “Smiling in a War Zone.” In addition audiences can enjoy a retrospective of the latest James Bond villain, Mads Mikkelsen; the most recent work from Lars von Trier, “The Boss of it All;” award winning documentaries and animation; and Q&A sessions with filmmakers. In a partnership with the National Film School of Denmark Continuing Education Division, the Festival will also feature prominent film professionals teaching Master Classes on a variety of topics.

A complete list of films and activities to be presented at this year’s festival will be announced shortly with all screenings to take place at the Laemmle Sunset 5 (8800 Sunset Boulevard).
