Hey, has anyone noticed that there's a good chance no American actor will win an Oscar tonight? The male categories look pretty sewn up by a Brit and a Spaniard, respectively. There's only one American nominated in the best actress category - and Laura Linney ain't gonna win. That leaves only supporting actress a shot to save our national honor. But with Aussie Cate Blanchett the highly promoted early favorite and now Scotland's Tilda Swinton supposedly the late surge beneficiary, can one-scene wonder/national treasure Ruby Dee or Amy Ryan with her Bostonian Britney Spears act still win one for the home team?
