Canada Is Such a Violent Place

Another good reason not to attend the Toronto Film Festival. Around here, critics argue profanely about stuff that usually doesn't have anything to do with movies. But that's as heated as it gets.Then we buy each other drinks.

Whoa now! The two scribes involved in the epic scuffle were both Americans. Yup, that's right. Americans are importing their violence into the Toronto Film Festival. Surely you know that Canadians prefer to chop people's heads off and nibble on them while they're riding next to them on the Greyhound bus.

I feel for Robert Ebert though, poor guy.
