Pronger suspended 8 games.

Chris Pronger had no comment Friday about stepping on the shin of Vancouver’s Ryan Kesler. He sure had one (per the Associated Press) on Saturday: “There is not a place for these types of instances in our game.”

The NHL suspended Pronger for 8 games, the longest of his career and one which will keep him out of all but the final game of the regular season. If you didn’t catch video of the incident, click here then click on the “Exhibit B” video.

More details to come in tomorrow’s newspapers.
