Lightning strikes; Reign in the forecast.

I’m impressed by the new splash page for the Ontario Reign.

Based on the history of local weather, it will be the only lightning you see all year.

Still, it’s kind of cool to see this whole operation coming together. Eight players received qualifying offers last week, giving defenseman John Adams, center Brandon Benedict, left wing Scott Champagne, defenseman Michael Grenzy, defenseman Corey LeClair, defenseman David Schulz, center Max Taylor and goaltender Kris Tebbs the opportunity to become the first professional hockey player officially employed in the Inland Empire.

I love how the press release explains the business logistics of qualifying offers and free agents. And the history of the ECHL.

Learn it. Love it.
