Not my words … rather the words of Ryan Hall in his first blog entry from the Games. I’ve been clicking nearly every day for an update on Hall (a Big Bear native) from Beijing — it’s cheaper than calling him — but it turns out there’s a good reason he hasn’t been blogging voraciously: Resting in a hotel room isn’t a very blog-worthy activity. And everyone is nice. Darn.
Today marks the 20th anniversary of Wayne Gretzky’s trade from Edmonton to Los Angeles, and in the opinion of the Great One himself, there would be no Ontario Reign without the royal lineage that Gretzky brought to the Kings.
The Ontario Reign is in the running to win the Hockey News’ hockey logo contest. Ten teams each from the ECHL (in which the Reign play), AHL and NHL have been selected as finalists, and fan voting is needed to determine the winner.
Looks like there is a market for minor-league hockey in the Inland Empire, after all.
