A couple other notes from practice:
- A noticeably slim Jase Weslosky said he lost about 10 pounds this summer.
- Adrian van de Mosselaer has mononucleosis, according to Christie.
- Christie isn’t looking at potential line combinations yet: “We haven’t really — just one skate (Friday). It really won’t take, I think, until the exhibition game, until you see guys jelling together.”
- The morning on-ice session featured very little instruction, not a lot of time at the whiteboard, and a lot of uptempo skating. “I like the tempo,” Christie said. “I like how guys were skating, making plays. It’s just a matter of just making sure we run a high tempo and guys are working hard.”
