The Festival of Brides, Upscale Bridal Show made its tenth appearance at The Langham, Huntington in Pasadena this last Sunday — and it was an afternoon to remember. Being a fairly new bride-to-be, I’ve only been to one other bridal show, but as I entered the Huntington Ballroom at the Langham on Sunday, I could easily see why there was such a steep entrance fee ($35).
We were serenaded by a live instrumental version of “No One” by Alicia Keys as well by a classical group (which included a harp and violin) from Elegant Music.
Before the couture bridal runway show, I had a little fun visiting many booths.
At the Ms. Belleza Jewelry booth, the gals encouraged me to try on the beautiful one-of-a-kind custome made jewelry. From bejeweled tiaras to large bauble earrings and matching necklaces.
I was also treated to a free mini session from make-up artist Lana from the Yana Beauty Studio.
I was happy to see she could create such a dramatic look while still looking like myself using airbrush make-up. Lana was wonderful.
City Connection Entertainment provided a live music showcase (check out the video), to warm up the crowd for the runway show, keeping many attendees dancing.
The show featured Ines Di Santo designed dresses for special occasions, bridesmaids and the bride of course.
Um, what does Beyonce have to do with your post? Unless the poster knows how you feel about Beyonce and she just wants to make you upset.
hey hey, I really enjoy helping people learn about wedding makeup! Some of my friends call me looney, but I’ll never stop doin’ it!
