    Showcase House

The Pasadena Showcase House of Design kicks off its 2010 season, and welcomes the public for the first time to see the final transformation of the 1929-built Cravens Estate. The property is headquarters for the San Gabriel-Pomona Valley American Red Cross, a role it has played since 1962. Now, 25 interior designers and several landscaping companies have lovingly restored the estate into a modern beauty rooted in the French chateau architecture of its past. Each room and outdoor space is packed with design ideas for your own home. Don’t miss the outdoor restaurant — complete with a delectable wine list — provided by Wolfgang Puck Catering.
Starting Sunday, through May 16. Advance tickets strongly recommended. Purchase tickets online, or by phone, (714) 442-3872. On Sunday, and later on April 24 and May 15, park at the Parsons Corporation, 100 W. Walnut. All other days, parking and shuttle from Pasadena Rose Bowl, Lot I, 360 North Arroyo Blvd. pasadenashowcase.org
