I had been a loyal and happy customer for 8 months. This past Friday, 11-26-2010, my 11 month old Lhasa Apso puppy was severely injured in their store. Jose did not deny that, but claims his groomer did nothing wrong.

I too, never saw these groomers or the grooming room,and feel it’s possible Jose was the groomer that day.

He lied to me, giving me a fake name for the groomer, and even lied to Officer Levin of Burbank Humane when he went to investigate.

My dog had severe bruising to both eyes and her neck, which her vet and a specialist agree is consistent with being strangled/hung by a grooming noose.

Jose, when confronted, claimed his groomer admitted to ‘pulling her too hard’ thus causing her injuries, and that he fired her. He said this within 5 minutes of agreeing to speak to her and call me back, so I did not buy it.

Officer Levin was given the fake name along with a cell phone number that is conveniently disconnected.

Jose/Paulo have done nothing at all to make this right. My dog is injured and traumatized by her ordeal. They kept her 7 hours that day and she is not even groomed. She was probably injured early on and they stalled for time hoping it would go away and not be noticed.

Jose claims 6 groomers were there that day. And no one saw anything? You mean to tell me 6 groomers didn’t notice a puppy being hung?

I used to be in love with them, too..but I am warning you all.

After all of this, I was still charged for the grooming and they did not even offer to pay the vet bills.

It’s not money I want. I want the person who hurt her to be held accountable, but thanks to their lies..this can’t happen.

Please spread the word and do NOT support a business who protects animal abusers. No matter how pretty their merchandise is,and believe me I loved it, too.

I spent a lot of money and time there before this nightmare took place.

Such a beautiful crown that befits a gorgeous queen! This crown emits radiance and splendor that rivals the jewels of British royalty. Hailing from south Pasadena myself, kudos to the powers that be in celebrating Pasadena’s very own talent in Jairo and Karen for a wonderfully intricate design.

The crown that is representing this years tournament is exceptional. It is a well designed piece.,and the two designers Karen and Jairo did a wonderful job on the crown. Where can I find out about the two designers? Do they have a collection of jewerly available for sell? Great job!!.

Beautiful girl; beautiful crown. I like the way the crown seems to be made of crystal roses on a trellis. VERY ELEGANT without being gaudy.

I personally believe this crown is too gody. The princesses crowns are too big for them. I am partial to last year’s with REAL PRECIOUS STONES AND DIAMONDS. Truly fit for a queen. It was simple and elegant. This year’s is cheap looking and not classy. I beg to differ to the above comment.

You dealt with a lot. There was NOTHING like this place that I’ve ever experienced to this day. The artistry and the HEART are unmatched. The reason for some of the poor service? Because you gave so many people a chance… you believed in so many people who were at the bottom of their lick and gave them a job, believing in them and in return so many of them took advantage of your hospitality and trust. HOW DO I KNOW ALL THIS?!?!? Because I freakin’ WORKED there!!! I busted my ass and saw you putting EVERYTHING into this place for the people, the music and especially the education of children… and I had the unfortunate experince of finding out (same time as you) that someone was stealing HUNDREDS of dollars out of your pocket and from the Jazz club EVERY NIGHT!!! (I immediately cut ties with that person.)

This placed changed me forever musically. It opened my eyes to understand JAZZ and I was truly enlightened. My World is more open and my life is better. It’s a beautiful memory for me and some of the best times of my life thus far (mixed with some unfortunate ones that had NOTHING to do with the establishment.)

I can’t wait to find out where your next venue will be… and I will absolutely spread the word and contribute somehow.
