The Triple Air Show returns to Mountain High on Saturday.  With $20,000 in prize money for the men and $5,000 for women, the competition presented by Powder and Sun is one of the richest one-day snowboarding events in California

The top 16 men and top 6 women will compete, with the top man taking home $10,000 and top woman getting $2,000.  Shaun White, Blaise Rosenthall, Matt Hammer, Gabe Taylor have competed in the past.

“The Triple Air is where we shine.  It’s our largest event of the season and we have riders coming from as far away as Utah and Colorado,” says John McColly, Director of Marketing.

The Cholula Triple Air Show is a modified big air contest with three enormous jumps. Boarders are judged on their overall performance, including technical difficulty, amplitude, and execution.

This year’s event consists of 2 divisions: Open Class Men and Open Class Women.

Practice starts at 9 a.m., and the event begins at 10:30 a.m.  Pre-registration is not available and HELMETS ARE REQUIRED.

Competitors are treated to a huge raffle plus and after-party in the Bullwheel Bar and Grill.  This year’s party features the So Hot Olympics with models, games and drinks from sohothotties.com.
