New Horizon opens at Mammoth Mountain
The flight marks the beginning of regular LAX-Mammoth air service throughout the winter. Horizon's air service will provide travelers easy access to one of the most visited mountain resorts in the country, with daily flights scheduled through April 12, 2009.

airline's Bombardier Q400 for the Mammoth rout
It's as quiet
and comfortable as a jet - thanks to its special technology that
suppresses noise and vibration, its generously sized overhead storage bins, its
unobstructed under-seat space, and its ample headroom (6 feet 5 inches). The
Q400 is also among the most environmentally friendly aircraft, burning 30
percent less fuel and producing 30 percent lower emissions than comparable
jets.
Since
last weekend storms have dropped more than four feet of snow on the mountain,
ensuring some of the best ski and snowboard conditions in the country. With
even more snow predicted in this week's forecast, Mammoth will be opening
Canyon and Eagle Lodges for the season this weekend, with the entire resort in
full operation for the holidays.
