Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort really has become a winter wonderland. The resort reports a fresh
6″-10″ fell overnight and it is still snowing.

Up to a foot of new snow
is expected throughout today. When you add that to the storm totals since Friday, Mammoth has received an amazing 10 to 15 feet of snow!

The white powder allows the mammoth resort to offer everything from soft
powdery groomed runs to knee deep and chest deep snow.

But please take extra
precautions if driving up to Mammoth for the Christmas holidays. Thursday and Friday
promise Mammoth’s famous bluebird skies allowing areas like the top,
backside, Chairs 12 and 9 to open with miles of untracked
snow.

The resort’s current snow base is 10 to 16 feet deep with fresh powder, packed
powder, and machine groomed conditions. The temperature at Main Lodge at 8 a.m. was 24
degrees with 4 mph winds, at the top it’s 20 degrees with 18 mph winds.

All lifts are operating today, wind and weather permitting,
except for Chairs 9, 12, 13, 14, 20, 23 and The Upper Panorama Gondola.
