Bluebird days at Bear Mountain, Snow Summit and Mountain High

Bear Mountain says skiing today is going to be amazing. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, freshly groomed packed
powder runs and features.

Yesterday’s storm gave them up to two feet of new snow. Holiday rates are now in effect.

Snow  Summit reopened today with 1 to 2 feet of fresh powder. Nearly the entire mountain is open with plenty of wide open runs for beginner to advanced skiers and snowboarders.

it’s hours today and Friday are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Night sessions are
every night beginning Saturday through New Year’s Day. Holiday rates are also in effect.

Hwy 330/18 the front
way to Big Bear is going to be closed for a while, but there are still two more ways to Big Bear. Take Hwy 38 through Redlands, chains are required on all vehicles except 4WD and AWD with snow tires, or go Hwy 18 the back way through Lucerne Valley, no chains required however chains are currently required in Big Bear.

Mountain High in Wrightwood has received two feet of new snow. The entire West Resort will be open today with the exception of Woodworth Gulch.

Tickets are still at regular season rates but will go to Holiday Rates on Dec 25th.

Night Sessions will take place tonight from 5 to 10 p.m. Off tomorrow.
Then back on Christmas Day through the remainder of the holidays.

The resort is evaluating the East and North resorts for a possible
opening. There is a very good chance the North Resort will open for
skiing and snowboarding in the next several days.

The East Resort is
great from the top down to about half way. The bottom portion still
needs quite a bit of work.
