The Santa Sighting video from Bear Mountain Ski Resort is a real hoot! I don’t know who the boarder is, but he does a great job. Very Merry! I can’t even ride the rails and this guy is catching Xmas packages while doing stunts. Amazing!
Maybe Santa brought you those new boards, bindings or boots. Whatever, it’s a great time to hit the local resorts to try out your new stuff.
Bear Mountain is reporting mostly sunny skies with a high of 42; cool enough to keep those packed powder runs and that light, fluffy snow in the trees.
Sister resort, Snow Summit also reports an amazing blue bird day with excellent snow conditions and mostly sunny skies. Nearly every run is open at both resorts. Night session is every night through Jan. 1 from 3 to 9:30pm.
Mountain High reports that all THREE resorts are now open with plenty of terrain for every level of skier and snowboarder. Thanks to recent snowfalls and good snowmaking temps, the mid-winter conditions are great and all roads are open and clear.
Wrightwood was expecting mostly sunny skies with cool temps in the mid 30s and dry North breezes. Anyone trying to avoid the crowds should head over to the North resort where they will find 70 acres of lower-level terrain perfect for kids and families. Your single lift ticket is good at all three areas.
