Resort at Squaw Creek will once again offer a popular family package at Lake Tahoe this winter.  The ski-in, ski-out resort has the "Kid's Ski, Skate and Sled Free" package giving two children 12-and-under per guest room or suite a daily free lift ticket to Squaw Valley USA, free skate rentals and ice skating on the resort's ice rink, and free sledding on the resort's groomed sled hill.

A children's welcome amenity and a free in-room children's movie are included in the package too.  To top it off, children will receive free hot chocolate and s'mores at the outdoor fire pits.

Prices start at $279 per room, per night midweek and $349 per room, per night on weekends for a Deluxe Forest View Guestroom.  Promo code KIDPLAYRSC must be utilized to receive the package pricing which is available on Resort at Squaw Creeks website at www.visitsquawcreek.com, or by phone at 800.401.9501.

New for the 2010-201l season, Squaw Valley USA will offer a mountaintop kids' zone.  The Belmont Park will be transformed into a kids' terrain park complete with a snow fort, kid-friendly jumps, bumps and whoopty-doos.

Also new for this season, kids can discover mountain secrets with a new kid's map designed to lead them on a grand adventure around the mountain.  Children will follow the map through Squaw Valley's kid-friendly terrain to find fun facts about the mountain's animals, history and natural habitat.

AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek offers ski-in, ski-out access to Squaw Valley USA, providing quick access to more than 4,000 acres of terrain served by an extensive network of 33 lifts including North America's only Funitel and the world-famous KT-22 Express lift.

Visitors also can enjoy a host of other activities, including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sled tours, horse-drawn sleigh rides and an on-property ice skating rink.  Plus, the property's on-site ski shop provides ski and snowboard rentals, expert boot fitting, lift tickets for purchase and complimentary ski lockers.  The resort also offers Mountain Buddies, a mountain-influenced supervised children's program for ages 4 to 12.
