Snorkel train stops at Mammoth Mountain

The
snorkel train is on it’s way at Mammoth Mountain!  Forecasts call for a possible 12 to 18 inches of snow
accumulation by Saturday morning, an additional 13 to 19 inches throughout
the day and another 3 to 7 inches on Saturday Night!

On Friday, the resort reported the temperature at Main Lodge was 30 degrees with strong winds from the southwest, under heavy snowfall.

Due to high winds, chairs 12, 13, 14, 23, Face Lift, High Five, Cloud
Nine Express and the Upper Panorama Gondola were closed for the
remainder of the day.

The storm is expected to end cold, with a high of 10 degrees on Sunday with unsettled weather through Monday. 

So, don’t put those powder boards away yet, it’s still winter on Mammoth Mountain!
