Mountain High to reopen this weekend

Mountain
High Resort in Wrightwood just announced it will RE-OPEN this Saturday
and Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm.  Yesterday’s storm left the area with
four inches of new snow and forecasters are calling for another six
tomorrow meaning conditions could be exceptional this weekend.

Says
John McColly, VP of Sales and Marketing, “This will be the last hoorah
of the season so come and join us.  Please use any remaining tickets or
vouchers you may have because they will expire at the end of day
Sunday.”

The
majority of the West Resort will be open and discounted tickets will be
just $45 for Adults and $25 for Children ages 7 to 12.  Kids six and
under ski FREE when accompanied by a paying adult.

Neon Indian headlines Spring Fest 2012 at Mammoth Mountain

 

neon indian mammoth concertFrontman Alan Palomo brings his spacey chillwave synth-pop to Mammoth’s Spring Festival. Palomo’s music has received rave reviews across the
board since he first burst onto the scene a few years ago. His
band’s debut, Psychic Chasms, was awarded Best New Music
by Pitchfork Media, and Rolling Stone named them one of 2010’s
hottest new bands. 

 SpringFest runs April
20-22. The festival also features the infamous Mammoth Pond Skim at
Canyon Lodge along with world-class snowboarding events including
the Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam Championships and the Active
Brodown Showdown.

Peeps herald spring and end of ski season at Bear Mountain and Mountain High

The end is nigh. Mountain High has closed for the regular season, but there is a spring storm rolling
in mid-week and they say they will definitely re-open this Friday, Saturday,
and Sunday if conditions permitted.

Bear Mountain has also closed for the season, though all Bear Mountain Only
season passes will be honored at Snow Summit for the rest of
this season.

Snow Summit expects to remain open with complete services for the entire
family, including snow sports school and all levels of terrain, through
at least April 15.

Spring savings at Mountain High in Wrightwood

soft, spring snow but please be aware of thin coverage in the high
traffic areas . All open trails have been groomed. Lifts and trails
subject to change without notice.

Easter Bunny skies into Mammoth this weekend

The Easter Bunny is hopping into Mammoth! Easter Weekend will be
packed full of fun activities for the whole family.  Egg
Hunts, crafts and much more await the little ones at Main Lodge and
Canyon Lodge. Check out the schedule of great activities below:

 

Saturday, April 7

8:30am-3pm – Woolly’s Scavenger Hunt on the
Mountain
kids snowplay

Search for colorful Easter eggs hidden all over the
mountain!  Find one with a note inside and win a prize!

10am – 2pm – Kids helmet/pole
decorating at Main + Canyon

Get in the Easter spirit with a decorated helmet or ski
poles!  We’ve got plenty of stickers, streamers and more, so
kids can jazz up their gear before hitting the slopes.

4pm – Apres with Woolly + the Easter
Bunny

Gather the kiddos and join Woolly and the Easter Bunny for Aprs
Ski refreshments and egg-cellent crafts including egg
decorating!  Don’t forget to bring your camera!  Meet in
the Lobby of Mammoth Mountain Inn, Juniper Springs & The
Village Lodge at 4pm.

kid’s area complete with an Easter theme!  Mom and Dad can
enjoy a brunch for two while the kiddos decorate and devour their
own creation at our pancake decorating table.

Mountainside Grill is located at the Mammoth Mountain Inn,
