Big Bear cancellations
Because of smoke in the Bear Valley, Big Bear High School is canceling its volleyball matches with Yucca Valley Thursday and postponing the second round of the DeAnza League girls golf tournament set to be held Thursday at Bear Mountain Golf Course.
Big Bear's game with Twentynine Palms, set for Saturday afternoon, is also on notice. More will be decided Thursday, but if school is out on Friday, as it will be Thursday, the odds of the game taking place seem to be small.
