Semifinal picks

Last week was a rough one for the San Bernardino Sun schools, with nine biting the dust. Will the carnage continue? Or will the two remaining teams keep strong? Here's what I see...

Colton at Moreno Valley Canyon Springs
The Yellowjackets overcame a huge 25-year hurdle in qualifying for this game. Now, they get to try to settle the score with the team that knocked them out. Pretty sweet 1-2 combo if you ask me. I like what I'm seeing out of this Colton team and I'm picking them to move on.

Corona Santiago at Redlands East Valley
Whatever was afflicting the REV defense against Murrieta Valley disappeared as quickly as it appeared, as Norco only mustered seven points against the Wildcats. The Santiago offense has been hot lately, but their two-pronged rushing attack plays into REV's strength - the front seven. Oh yeah, Chris Polk is going to play too.
