Brown, Chavarria awarded scholarships

Arroyo Valley High School defensive end Keenan Brown and Eisenhower basketball player David Chavarria were each awarded scholarships Friday at the Sport Foundation's Banquet.

The banquet, which runs the night before the Inland Empire All-Star Football Classic, saw Brown awarded a $1,000 scholarship and Chavarria awarded the Rose and Frank Wolsztyiniak Memorial Scholarship, worth $500.

The Riverside scholarships were awarded to Santiago's Ryan Berry ($1,000) and Murrieta Valley's Ian Massey ($500). Riverside Poly trainer Jennifer Barnard was given the Sports Medicine Scholarship, worth $500.
