El Toro jumps on top
After Chatwood struck out his fifth batter, the Chargers lit him up for a couple of runs to take the lead. He walked Penprase and gave up a sharp single by Arenado to set up Barnhill, who hit a sharp-line drive single to right.
Barnhill's single brought in Penprase and Arenado, with the second runner scoring when David Andriese bobbled the ball in right. Andriese was given an error on the play.
The last two batters were retired, but the damage was done. 2-0 El Toro going into the bottom of the third.
