Thompkins clarifies stance

In the wake of Tuesday's story in the Sun regarding Redlands East Valley's inquiry into the transfer of Gary Walker from Rialto to Redlands East Valley, Eisenhower principal Reggie Thompkins, the Citrus Belt League's liaison to the CIF, stated that he did not approve or disapprove of REV's findings.

"I accepted the report from the principal and forwarded it to CIF," Thompkins said Tuesday morning. "I don't do my own review because that's not my role, My job is to get the paperwork to CIF so they can look it over and make whatever ruling they see as fair."

Thompkins also wanted to reiterate that REV internal inquiry about the case is just one step in the entire process.

"The CIF has not approved anything yet," Thompkins said. "They just have the paperwork that was sent to them."
