Three more crack Rivals 250

Three local players, Cajon's Marlon Pollard, Upland's Josh Nunes and Diamond Ranch's Brandon Sermons, cracked the list in the second half of the Rivals 250 rankings released today.

Pollard, a 6-foot-1, 160-pound cornerback who has verbally committed to Notre Dame, finds himself ranked No. 146, a slight drop from his pre-summer ranking. Pollard was also committed to UCLA at the time of the last ranking, but decommitted for the Irish in early July.

Nunes, a 6-4, 200-pound quarterback who committed to Tennessee a little over a month ago, comes in at No. 201. It's a bit of a fall for Nunes, but it's more based on other quarterbacks around the country (like Los Osos' Richard Brehaut) impressing in high-profile camps while Nunes has kept a lower profile.

Sermons, the younger brother of former USC standout running back Rodney Sermons, clocks in at No. 250, the exact same place he was at prior to the summer. Sermons has received a lot of recruiting attention from Pac-10 and Mountain West schools.
