Hesperia, Miller win showdowns
Gavin Santos ran for 157 yards and a touchdown and Femi Odalapo had a key 91-yard interception return for a touchdown late in the third quarter as Hesperia toppled Serrano 24-17 Friday at Hesperia. Alex Spainhower threw for 199 yards and a touchdown for the Diamondbacks.
Also, via text message from Clay Fowler, Miller took down No. 1 Redlands East Valley 18-15, sewing up their place as the No. 1 team in the Sun next week.

Scorpions are the real deal great game on both side of ball.Santos is a true stud and also one of the true all american young men.Oh thats not the name of HHS QB its Harriman please get your facts right.Who s next for this great TEAM.RIM Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey HD Rat. Hesperia never gets any respect, why should this paper get Harriman right? Come on Sun - it's OLADAPO and IRVIN Martinez.
And Serrano all spelled correctly. And all the pictures of Serrano.
Whatever.
I don't control which pictures are taken and used, but I did mess up Femi's last name in my writeup. I apologize for the error. As for Martinez, the maxpreps roster had Irvine Martinez. I will make a note of the correct spelling for future articles.. Thanks for pointing out my mistakes - deadline can get hectic and I need to be called out when I mess up.
