Former Hesperia TE commits to Iowa State
Chaffey College tight end Ricky Howard, a graduate of Hesperia High School, verbally committed to Iowa State Wednesday night, according to a phone call received from Howard's mother by colleague J.P. Hoornstra.
Howard, an all-Mojave River League performer for the Scorpions in 2006 and 2007, is entering his sophomore year at Chaffey. He's planning on enrolling at Iowa State in January and join the Cyclones for practice next spring.
