Martin Ranch Fire Menaces North San Bernardino

Firefighters have dubbed the blaze burning southeast of Devore the Martin Ranch Fire.
As of 3:30 a.m., the fire, which broke out shortly before 1 a.m., had burned 65 acres and was growing fast. Firefighters have ordered 45 homes evacuated in the area of Meyers and Martin Ranch roads. More homes are threatened on lower Martin Ranch Road, but mandatory evacuations have not yet been ordered.
“Any time winds are blowing this hard, we’re always concerned,” said San Bernardino firefighter Steve Tracy.
A total of 110 firefighters were on scene at 3:30 a.m.
