Sports are great because...

Sam Hurd, Tony Curtis and Nick Folk were the ones who saved Terrell Owens and Tony Romo Monday night... because South Florida vs. Florida Atlantic was a big game on Saturday... because the Colorado Rockies are four wins away from the World Series...

Because 40-point underdog Stanford beat the same Southern Cal team its OWN coach labeled "maybe the best ever."... in the Coliseum... playing its backup quarterback, who converted a fourth-and-20 on the game-winning drive... and a fourth-and-goal after that... because LSU's Les Miles rested national title hopes on a fourth-and-1 trailing by three in chip-shot field goal range with less than two minutes to play... because Steve Spurrier is back in the top 10... because Jhonny Peralta went 7-for-15 in the ALDS while Derek Jeter went 3-for-17... because five interceptions doesn't mean you've lost the game... because timeouts before field goals make the game twice as entertaining... so do field goals after timeouts... well, maybe sports aren't so great in Buffalo... but if they were, how would they be great in Dallas?
