Upland football coach Tim Salter on Chino Hills
"They look like a team on a mission. When I looked at them on film, we're really going to have to bring our 'A' game."
On the Chino Hills defense:
"They look like they have pretty good size and they get a lot of hats to the ball like we do. Whenever they make a tackle, it's a gang tackle."
On Chino Hills WR/RB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu:
"You can't keep him from getting the ball. They've got so many ways to get it to him that you can't take him out of the game. And even if you can bottle him up on offense, you've got to contend with him on punt and kickoff returns.
"They seem to find a new way each week to get him the ball."
On the Upland offense:
"I think we've really played well in the second half of the last three games. We ran the ball well against Colony and they've got a great defense. When we were watching film on Colony, we looked at four straight DVDs and we didn't see their defense allow a touchdown until the fifth one."
On the Upland defense:
"We gave up two touchdowns and a field goal to Colony and Colony had as many D-I kids on the field as any team we've played. It's not that they didn't play well (late in the regular season) but when you've got (Rancho Cucamonga quarterback Greg) Watson and (Etiwanda quarterback Angel) Santiago in your league... we gave up some big plays in league but that seems like ancient history now. We gave up just 6 points to Damien and 17 to Colony so I'm happy with the defense"
