Sorry about that. The Eastern Division is now on the bottom of the list.

Clay has there been back to back CIF football team that has had a higher rated D-fence than O-FFENCE?And do you think Upland has a chance to repeat?

I've got to believe there have been back-to-back CIF champs with a better defense than offense. As good as Upland's defense was last year - and it may have been the best around here in quite a while - the Highlanders were still overlooked by many, including me, going into the playoffs. Defense is simply more reliable than offense and Upland didn't win many games by much of a margin but that won't be ingraved on the CIF trophy.

As far as Upland repeating, I don't give it a good chance. The Inland Division is an entirely different animal than the Central. The Big VIII League is absolutely brutal and it wasn't even the best league in the Inland Division last year - that would be the Southwestern League, which accounted for both CIF finalists.

Clay, just asking, How do you think the Rancho Cucamonga Football team will do this year? They lost Watson, Telfer, Boyd, Berwick, and
(Senior) Zamarripa (Verbal baseball SDSU). Also will Osos have a passing game like in the pass without Bechtel, do you see Osos running the ball more with Rogina? And is Etiwanda really going to be as good as last year.

Clay, how do you think Etiwanda will do this year? I'll take your answer off the air.

I'm going to preview Etiwanda, Rancho, Los Osos and the rest of the Baseline League shortly. Instead of giving you a quick answer here, I'll have better, more in depth answer for you in the next few days.
