Interesting the teams matched up for the CIF run.

Upland pulled Murrieta Valley. The men in skirts should get a nice tuneup for Charter Oak. Charter Oak isn't one of those mediocre teams we talked about Upland Fan. They're pretty good. So we'll jump ahead now and tell you to be ready. Time to tape those skirts down. lol

Rancho Cucamonga pulled Chino Hills. Ranch vs. REV is a better game.

Summit got somebody. Doesn't matter. They'll move on.

Colony got Valley View. Interesting to see which Valley View team shows up.

Nice to see Osos made the cut and the list. Although, all beautiful songs come to an end. Chaparral pulls the plug on Osos performance quick. Kind of like the Gong Show. Good night Irene. Sorry, a forfeit here and a bad play call there and Osos would be home sooner than later.

Upland got what it wanted, in fact the Inland Div has set it up for a possible showdown between REV and Upland in the finals that could possible produce a state bowl contender.

Not so fast.. if upland beats murrieta valley and charter oak will u admit your wrong about Upland? Check out Rob Robledos sports blog and listen to them talk about Upland. This are guys who cover sports and its their job to cover sports. Let me know what you think..

Upland, dont look to far ahead. I see you definately playing Vista Murrieta in the Semi's. In the finals I like 3 teams with a legitimate shot CC, REV and Rancho.

I would love to see a Upland vs Rancho in the final.

We will see I think the Inland Div is stacked with about 8 teams that can make a run at the ship.

I think Charter Oak may have something to say about your REV / Upland match up!

Max Prep has UHS ahead of CC and Vista...but CIF has us 3rd...so maybe it's good motivation for Kilt team...But it will be Wack if we win out and don't make it to state!!
Are strength of schedule is just as strong as CC and they have one loss...last year is last year and this year is this year!!

Finally we hear some noise from a CO fan. You guys couldnt handle Rancho, so what makes you think you can handle Upland?

Rancho vs Upland in the finals would be great!! However a final between REV and Upland will result in a State Bowl game..

Those are the only 2 teams that can go to state..

@Upland Fan - I couldn't find Rob's blog. Can you post the link (if Clay will allow it). I was watching video of MV. They're decent, but shouldn't be nowhere near a problem. It's the second round that starts to ramp it up.

@keakthesneak - if that was meant for me, you couldn't be more insanely wrong. I haven't done any predictions until now. So perhaps the "...wrong until... right..." applies to you.

@Football Fan - I agree. I'd love to see and Upland/Rancho rematch. That bracket is stacked with heavyweights, REV and CC. Even JW North is nothing to sleep on. This is going to be an exciting Friday! I wish I could be at several of these games!

Centennial will run over their first three opponents. Sorry Rancho , but you will not be in the finals again this year. CC, Rev, Upland, Vista M. are the true powerhouse teams. You don't have a fast enough defense to deal with and match up with Rev and CC. You may be too tired to get to the finals anyways. CC will meet Upland in the finals. The first round is practice for most teams but the second round will be tough for most teams. Sorry Rancho, but you will be watching from the sidelines like Chino Hills, Yucaipa and Murrieta Valley. Your QB cannot run on Rev or CC and they will go after his legs to slow him down if he runs. Thats the scouting report on your team thus far. They will force your tailbacks to run and watch speed for speed. Go Scots!!

I can see why Upland Fan and co are doing the twist and shout and throwing their green skirts up in the air. lol. Those guys are picking them to win it all! Beat VM, beat CC, etc. Really, that's enough of the double lattes.

Upland's defensive front were not consistent stopping Osos run game which left a lot of work for their LB's (first half). The second half, Osos was too busy shooting themselves in the foot. That said, if they were having problems with them, then explain to me how they plan to stop VM and thereby CC? Who both, in either case, are just as big, stronger and faster.

No rhetoric, just some factual evidence please.

Steve O, Why the attack on Rancho?? You seem a little worried about us winning some games. We did lose to Upland and we did not play like we needed to, so we could compete with Upland.

This tired and too slow defense is a crack up. No excuses, but we had our best LB with a concussion and the other LB was starting his first game at LB. We have improved and our scheme is looking better. I think we are ready to make a run at this thing. I am hoping we get a shot at REV and CC, then lets see what happens..

Plus I dont think anyone is bigger and stronger than us, faster maybe, but the other two I will give us against anybody.

@Football Fan - that bigger, stronger, faster thing was for Upland Fan, not Rancho.

Having seen both Rancho and Upland play, in a team race, I think Rancho is by far globally a faster team than Upland. Of course speed wasn't the deciding factor in Upland winning earlier in the season. But now it's the playoffs and... well... we shall see.

Im not one who makes up excuses, for Upland to win this our defense needs to improve. Lets hope with our starting safety back and our nose guard healthy we will be ready. Im sure teams have see that you cant run around us with our two stud defensive ends and our two athletic outside linebackers. However our middle is suspect at times, I agree our middle linbackers are having to work to hard at times, taking on the offensive lineman and making plays. Im sure we will adjust.

The question is... Has Rev, Vista Murrieta or CC played an offense like ours? I think not! There is no team that has as many formations and so well rounded out there.

No pun intended, but we keep reading that you want to see an Upland Rancho game, well you saw it and you lost. Then when you lose again, you will have excuses by the ref, someone was out or hurt, nuetral field and excuses etc. You only had 3 games against good teams, you lost to Upland, almost lost to Etiwanda, scouting report shows a kick-off return late in the game saved you from a loss and a 1 td win over charter oak. Remember your playing in DII now and you have to learn to finish games. Last year, people have said it, Rancho cannot finish big games. Noone cares if teams beat easier teams by 40 points, that is what your supposed to do. It's what you do when you play the good teams which will show what your made of. Everyone knows you wanted to play CC, just won't happen in the championship, so you were purposely put in the same bracket as CC and rev. Yes, I have that inside info and you got what you wanted. Now, you need to fulfill your part and play them. Let's see if you are able to get 40 points on Rev, CC or whomever after the first round. Have fun!

I went over to see Charter Oak play at Chino Hills the other night to see what the Chargers actually look like. I was pleasantly surprised. It was obvious their QB was hurt as I don't think the kid attempted a single run (and I hear he's a threat with his legs) The kid is a pin-point passer and the offense is as explosive as any I've seen in the Baseline. I'm not sure what happened against Rancho but for a school with under 2,000 kids, I wouldn't take this team lightly.

Charter is decent, I have friends at work that have kids on the JV team and practice against the Varsity group.
Went to view a game early Sept and saw them beat Glendora(3-7) 17-6. Not the best game by both teams.
The following week adjustments were made but they did beat a Roosevelt(3-7) team by seven pts. The Qb is steady, but if you run him out of the pocket his accuracy is poor. I look for CO to struggle in the second round.
