Clay Fowler has been covering high school sports for six years in California and Texas. He was born in Dallas, attended the University of Texas and worked in Central Texas before joining the Daily Bulletin staff in 2006.

Clay I'm confused, how is it that there are 30 or more players on the first team. Is this a typo or what? It doesn't do the kids justice to have all these players listed as if they all made first team. Secondly the first set of kids are all from colony, were they playing by themselves our what. I just hope when the baseline leagues team comes or there is some clarity.
I think the way it looks is Clay in all of his wisdom, simply linked all of the players by school and not by Offense/Defense. But you cant expect Clay to actually do any kind of journalism can you. His was probably just given the list and instead of cleaning it up, he simply just listed the names. It is too bad that we can not have the same prep coverage by the Daily Bulletin that the SGV has with theirs
Even so shouldn't the team have 11 first team members and 11 second team members and however many honorable mentioned
No, each team 1st O and 1st D as well as 2nd O/D will have anywhere from 15 to 17 members each, which is about where Baldy is. It just would have been nice to see it clearer in print.
There will always be more than 11 offensive and defensive players on an all-league team. Not every team runs the same O and D. Teams use from 3-5 DL/LB/DBs or 1-3 RB/TEs, 1-5 WRs. The overage number accounts for these things.
never seen anything like this before, why sooo many guys? must be that its a bad league....

What is this? Every starter gets first or second team? What happened to the best players at their POSITION making all league. This is worthless. It reminds me of Little league where all participants get a tropphy. I know some of the Chino players do nopt belong on this list especially the juniors.
No body has five running backs!! 7 LB's nobody uses 7 LB's, It could be said that an extra DB for a nickle or dime pacakge and maybe an extra WR for a spread team. Usually these teams are based on 5 OL, 1 TE, 1 QB, 2 WR, and 2 RB's
And defense is usually 4 DL, 3-4 LB's, 4 DB's. So maximum 25 FIRST TEAM. Why have a first and second team otherwise.
Thihs is a way to get players from teams that went 0-10 on the list.
justin cooke is not a QB He is a d-end who posted this nonsense
