All Foothill-Conference honors have been handed out in men's and women's basketball. The biggest awards went to the most deserving. Some conferences and leagues water down the honors by naming a first and a second team as well as honorable mention. Some even name a third team.
But this conference does it right, just a first team, although the women have honorable mention. It's a tough, deep conference so being named is truly an honor.

Redlands native Jessilyn Conicelli of Biola University has been named a 2010-11 Second-Team Capital One Women's Basketball Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
Conicelli, a senior forward with a 3.96 grade-point average, has been honored for both her work in the classroom and on the court. She is one of 15 student-athletes chosen in the College Division which represents schools in the NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA schools.
She is averaging 17.8 points and 12.3 rebounds per game and has recorded 13 straight double-doubles to give her 23 on the season. Conicelli ranks in the top five in the NAIA in five different categories including ranking second in total rebounds (358), third in rebounds per game (12.3) and 10th in total scoring (516).
In her Biola career, Concicelli has scored 1,532 points and added 1,093 rebounds, becoming one of just three players in the program's history to reach 1,000 in both categories. She is currently fifth on the all-time scoring list at Biola and third on the rebounding list.

The University of Redlands men's basketball team made it twice in a row when senior forward Matt Dietrich was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Male Athlete of the Week for his contributions during last week's victories.
Senior center Jordan Sanvictores garnered the award during the week of Jan. 17.
On Saturday, Dietrich led the Bulldogs to their first win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps since 2007 by scoring a season-high 17 points. He was perfect from the charity stripe, going 8-for-8, and nabbed six rebounds. He provided a critical three-pointer late in the first half to help Redlands secure a lead it held through the final whistle.
Dietrich also contributed 12 points and nine rebounds in the team's 64-55 victory over Pomona-Pitzer Colleges last Wednesday.
Freshman swimmer Haley Von Schottenstein of Whittier won the weekly honor for the women.
Redlands (9-10, 6-2 SCIAC) currently sits in a tie for second place in the conference standings. The Bulldogs look forward to hosting Caltech in a SCIAC doubleheader on Saturday, beginning with the women's game at 5 p.m. The men tip off at approximately 7 p.m. in Currier Gym.
