Stockton 4, Reign 2.

The Thunder are suddenly making some noise, up 3 games to 2 in the series, which shifts back to Ontario on Tuesday.

The Reign fell behind 2-0 tonight and never caught up; the first team to score has won all four games of the series. The official scoresheet is here.

More in tomorrow's editions.

This may sound like sour grapes but the playoff schedule doesn't make much sense unless there were extenuating circumstances.Apr.10,11th in Ontario and then 3 at stockton Apr. 15,17,19.Then 2 at On. back to back? Ont. will have to win 2 on home ice.Scheldule advantage to the First or 4th place team. Just thinking out loud.
Phil Ontario ?

a 2-3-2 is just the echl's given format. A lot has to do w/arena availability as well.
There are many back-to-back playoff contests going on in the nhl level as they schedule these games for tv purposes.
The Reign don't have any excuses.
They were 4-0 up there during the reg season and went up 2-1 after game 3.
The Thunder are playing like a team that wants it more playing with a #3 goalie as our goaltending has been suspect at best in the past 2 contests.
Hopefully home cooking is what these guys need and maybe, if they can take game 6, momentum can carry over the next night rather than having an off day in between. It could work in the Reign's favor if they gel together.
