Reign: Walker survives first round of Kings' cuts.

The Kings cut eight players from their training camp roster today, and Geoff Walker wasn't one of them. The Reign right wing is still in the running to achieve his goal of playing for the Kings at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Thursday against the San Jose Sharks.

Walker did not play in either of the Kings' split-squad exhibition games Tuesday (one in Phoenix, one in Los Angeles) against the Coyotes.

The players heading back to their juniors teams (destination in parentheses) are: G Jean-Francois Berube (Montreal, QMJHL), D Nicolas Deslauriers (Rouyn-Noranda, QMJHL), G Martin Jones (Calgary, WHL), RW Brandon Kozun (Calgary, WHL), RW Linden Vey (Medicine Hat, WHL). D Milan Doczy, D Radko Gudas and C Tyler Maxwell were released from their tryout contracts.
