SAN BERNARDINO - Prosecutors on Tuesday filed charges against a teen accused of crawling through a 9-year-old girl's window and sexually assaulting her.
Charles Williams, 16, will be tried as an adult for Sunday's incident in the 1200 block of West 31st Street. He has been charged with rape, burglary and lewd acts with a child.
Police said Williams climbed through the girl's window and assaulted her before family members made it into the room.
A resident standing outside pointed officers toward Williams' house, which is in the same neighborhood as where the assault took place.
Williams was booked into Juvenile Hall. Bail was set at $500,000.
