Damien Guerrero to be sentenced Friday

A Highland man who pleaded guilty, under the terms of a plea bargain, to the bizarre slaying of Redlands college student Kelly Bullwinkle in 2003 is scheduled to be sentenced Friday morning.
Damien Guerrero, 23, faces 15 years to life in state prison when he is sentenced in San Bernardino Superior Court.
Guerrero pleaded guilty July 25 to one count of second-degree murder and a sentence enhancement of using a firearm in the crime as part of a plea bargain.
In March 2005, a jury deadlocked on a first-degree murder charge for Guerrero. The final vote was 11-1 for a guilty verdict.
Prosecutors and police contend Guerrero and and co-defendant Kinzie Noordman lured the 18-year-old Bullwinkle to a remote area of San Timoteo Canyon and took turns shooting her.
The pair told police the killing was the result of a joke turned deadly when the gun Guerrero pulled on Bullwinkle fired accidentally.
Noordman, of Redlands, was convicted of first-degree murder in March 2005, and sentenced to 45 years in prison two months later.

It's very simple: Guerrero and Noordman are sub-human garbage. Society is far better off withh these two murderers incarcerated. Guerrero needs to do life.

People are so quick to judge. Everyone makes mistakes, some greater than others and I do believe that they should be "punished", but their mistakes should not give society the permission to call them garbage or anything else that may be demeaning. I know Damien and he is a great person, who unfortunately committed a big mistake. He is doing everything he can to become a better person. I will stand by him no matter what. You wont know how it feels until your son, daughter, cousin, lover or friend are incarcerated. Who's side would you be on in that case?

I also knew both of them - Damien and Kinsey. Let me tell you something...."mistakes" such as that may be forgiven by God but they knew exactly what they were doing - ahead of time. So don't tell me they are "great" people. If that's what you really think then perhaps you should seek counseling, because you're delusional.

I know Damien very well and I know for a fact that he wishes every moment of every day that the things that happend never happend. Damien is a good person who made a very big mistake and regrets what happend. And as for calling Damien "garbage", i think that Damien is a very honorable man. And if you dont like it..... well tough luck he IS more honorable than you because HE would NEVER say ANYTHING about you that he wouldnt say to your face!!!!

So let me get this straight Mike . . . Damien would never talk behind your back, but he would shoot you in the back of the head???

And you call that honorable?

Whats wrong with your head?

BTW I am sure he regrets the murder cause his ass is in prison.
